I spoke with my broker today at Smith Barney. They had a meeting yesterday where
they were told not to put their clients in any risky or volatile investments. SB is expecting
a rate increase in July which will greatly upset the markets. They specifically were told
not to advise additional investments in emerging markets. In fact, management made it
clear that if there were large profits sitting in their clients accounts, they were to mention
taking some profits off the table. Isn't it during these times that gold pops up?
