There used to be Nikkei warrants on the AMEX, but I don't know if they have expired or not. There are closed-end Japan funds languishing around the exchanges, but who knows what they own nowadays.

If you read _the Ministry_, you'd realize that Japan is not to short or long for now. MOF will go to extraordinary lengths to manipulate the market. And there seems to be a disconnect between the people's will and the bureaucrats' a**-covering priorities. Judging some of the politicians and regulators' behavior, Japan's treasury will continue to be drained for some time to come.

Nikkei futures trade on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, as well as in Japan and Singapore. Other Asian stock index futures trade on domestic markets.
