The authors I quoted speak their thoughts well. Famous is not necessarily a source of truth. You will find many famous men of recent history who are very religious men but do not accept fundamentalist religions and accept the bible as an authority from God. Einstein, Shakespeare, Browning, Ben Franklin, Thomas Paine book "Age of reason is a pearl. The God concept of the pagans was portrayed as an unreachable aristocrat in a far away place in the sky. It was considered so the Savior bit was set up to provide a middle man god to mediate for them. That way he was an agent for both parties where they could communicate. I think with this known we can see how Christ is then called the Mediator, Intercesser, "Advocate with the Father. The Supreme God was supposed to be frequently angry so when god thjreatened to punish the multitude (Jer xlvi 25) hence the middle God interceded and pled for their behalf, being as we must presume, a better natured and more merciful being than the Father. Theprincipal circumstance , however, which led to the conception of the Divine Savior was the desire to find some way to continue in sin and wrong doing and escape its natural and legitamate consequences. It simply was to evade that penalty. Thus it was believed people could run rampart in sin, and indulge in their passions and lust until the time of death approached, when they would have nothing to do but ask forgiveness, casting their burden of sins and sufferings on the merit of a "crucified Savior and Redeemer," who "suffered once for all, that we might escape,"and thus dodge the penalty for sin. It simply was a realized wish to bwe free of the natural laws of Morality!!! Now Annread the old testament with this in mind and see if it makes sense to your reasoning. My thought and knowledge says there is no FREE LUNCH! Could you believe Moses could make God repent. Does that make any kind of sense? Their word of God bible sure states it that way. Of course you will hear shouts out of context that not it says etc. I bet those sneaky people get off the forum and read some real truth even tho they would never admit it. I don't have time to run a spell checker and I'm sure my fat pudgy fingers hit an extra key at times. Mostly it is the J and w. Never bothered to see why. As you can tell by this forum I handle a whole lot more posts than the average person. I follow the stock market all day and try to pick up enough to subsidize my Social security which is my only income. No I don't pray God for my picks. There too I just try to get all the knowledge I can before opting to trade.
