Peter, Retinoids can actually be fatal. I'm not sure what the toxicity is due to. LGND1550 had very mild side effects when compared to Vesanoid. I'm not sure if it's dose related or some cross reactivity with other receptors. LGD1550 can activate all three known RARs and I believe that tretinoin (Vesanoid) has the same activation profile.
