It isn't amateur hour. there are night traders and day traders night traders get into a position between 3-4 and blow out between 9-10 and spend the rest of the day doing research. Those that got in between 3-4 have to get out between 9-10 if the position moves against them a certain amount.
there are also the day traders that get in between 9-10 and get out between 3-4. so if the day traders sell stock to beat up on the night traders that were long today between 3-4 the night traders will have to sell out their position. consider shorting the stock for that hour to pressure the night traders to sell their position.
I know it sounds weird but unfortunately the stock market has fallen to such levels as daily bets. Few things are based on fundamentals anymore.
I know this day trading and night trading sounds crazy but I am not making it up. I spoke to someone that does it and there is a ot of others where he works and in other offices around town and they play with a lot of money.
