Ya I think they'd make a good acquisition but I'm also not as bleak about there ability to IPO as you are. Not saying I'd be a buyer but according to their website they've won their fair share of deals in the mid-market, and seem to do exceptionally well with high-tech and finance. Pivotal seems to be after the mid market as well (at least for starters) with more emphasis on a distribution channel. I think they've got about the same IPO potential as Onyx but seem to have more seasoned management? No gorillas here.
