ET, i don't follow Veeco Instruments..[veco].., however optical technology is an important part of the future of the data storage business Thats why RDRT hired Dr. Joseph J. Miceli, Jr., as vice president and general manager of their Opto Magnetic Group located in San Jose, California. Dr. Miceli, who joined Read-Rite after spending the past 16 years at Eastman Kodak Corporation in Rochester, New York, has extensive technical and managerial experience in optical recording. i have asked RDRT IR whether Dr. Miceli was just in charge of R&D, or whether people in production reported to him. either i didn't ask the question correctly or they don't want to talk about it, because i wasn't able to get much info on this topic. IR did indicate that production people are working for the DR., probably producing prototypes something
