My brother-in-law whose been a long haul trucker for 30 years stopped in on his way through last night. Main topic and concern on his mind ....... Y2K and interstate transportation. Won't go into all the details from his experience and perspective, but he's significantly concerned about what he knows from first hand experience. We had an interesting and informative discussion.

His main concern -- denial and the slow pace of progress ---talking here about within his personal realm of experience in interstate transport -- which includes trucking tie-ins with ports, rails, arifreight, wharehouses, J.I.T., etc.

He' going to keep me posted on truckstop chatter on the issue around country. Right now there's very little, but more haulers are becoming aware of it quickly from their own experiences.

WELL ...... this is cool --- we'd been discussing some of Yourdon's stuff last night. Told my Bro-in-law that I had just emailed Yourdon because of a debate about him over on Wexler's thread, and -- just now received a reply from him -- I'll post it over on Wexler's.
