Dave, actually it doesnt look exactly like that, but somewhat similar. I was using the MACD Histogram which is very similar to regular MACD but it is easier to identify downward slopes. And you have the S&P for that chart.

I forgot to mention you should plot the MACD histogram for the Nasdaq, Russell 2000, DJIA and S&P. The S&P almost has sort of a buy signal but the nasdaq, russel have clear sell signals and the dow a somewhat weaker sell signal. 3 against 1 not bad odds.
