Compaq, Microsoft, Iomega, and In Focus have joined forces to bundle various presentation tools designed to provide an easy-to-use
package that weighs less than eight pounds in total.

Announced last week, the four companies are each contributing a piece to the solution, which includes Compaq's Windows CE-based
C-Series handheld PC, Microsoft Pocket PowerPoint, the Iomega 40MB Clik Drive, and the In Focus LP420 data/video projector.

Though pricing will be set by individual resellers, company officials said the final price is likely to be between $6,000 and $7,000.

The companies said that the pre-tested solution will offer presenters a consistent setup and peace of mind.

"A presenter can get thrown off his game worrying about whether the technology will work from one board room to the next," said Robert
Judge, director of product marketing at In Focus. "These products have all been tested together and the solution will be supported by any
one of our 800 numbers."

VARs will begin selling the solution with the Compaq C-Series and the In Focus LP420 in June, with the Clik drive being added upon its
availability in September.

Iomega is also in talks with several handheld vendors for integration of a forthcoming internal version of the 40MB Clik drives into various
devices, such as PalmPilots or Windows CE devices, according to Anne Haggar, senior marketing manager at Iomega.

Haggar said the 40MB disks could be used to store multiple presentations for sales or marketing executives on the road, enabling the
use of the handheld device rather than a full-blown notebook.
