The problems have to be fixed first. First you have to be Y2K compliant. I had my PC advanced to 2009 for a couple days, worked fine. I did NOT run any date sensitive programs (like Quicken) because we are in 1998, not 2009. Didn't want Quicken to keep reminding me my bills were 11 years past due.

I advanced a number of home and office machines to 2000+ and they worked fine.

Note: My computer had to have the BIOS upgraded first so it was Y2K compliant.

That was a non-scientific test I did myself. Everything I tested worked fine.

Here is a link to some companies, check out what they say about their products and Y2K compliance:

P.S.
I am not saying there is no Y2K problem out there, so don't take this the wrong way. These were home and small office equipment. Not mainframes.

Do your own research, I am not an expert or scientist, just addicted to computers.

IF YOU ADVANCE YOUR COMPUTERS CLOCK, MAKE SURE YOUR BACK UP YOUR DATA FIRST!!
