All told, they have spent a minimum of a BILLION DOLLARS on the K6 development - probably more than Intel spent on the Pentium II development.

Paul, this just goes to stress the point that AMD would be a successful PROFITABLE company if it weren't for Jerry's pathological drive to go up against Intel at any and all costs. Screw the shareholders, this is ego time and the shareholders are going to foot whatever bill Jerry presents to feed his ego. Shareholders are paying for the party and they have their noses pressed up against the glass looking in.

BTW I wrote some puts on AMD today. That means I have a position on AMD again. Hope Fuchi likes that. Haven't heard much from him since Cyrix/NSM tanked. Wonder if he still loves Cyrix inovations.
