Was that a Freudian slip the 'preciously' or did you mean it in that context?
You are obviously a very worried man to be up so early in the morning or are you just using your precious time precisely?
Firstly if you refer to my posting to nempela , you will note that the identity of the heirs could very easily be established. One of them even has the same three initials and the identical surname as his Grandfather.
I don't think that it would be that hard to pick up a local telephone directory and look up the original owners name and find the namesake heir with the identical name.
This would imply SUF knew who the heirs were but chose to ignore them .This option might have been adopted when they realized that these specific rights had not been included in the estates they had opened and they figured that the heirs would in all likelihood never find out about them.
The so-called 2 year period which you believe comes into effect from and I quote: 'and a period of not less than two years has expired from the date on which he became so entitled,'
This quite simply means that if the heirs were unaware of these rights until December 1997 then they would have two years from that date i.e until December 1999 to take cession thereof.I believe that they have complied with this provision and it would appear that is why the company NGS could be formed and why all the relevant authorities in SA were satisfied with the formation of this company.
Why didn't SUF just pick up the phone and start negotiating?

What do you mean when you post and I quote (with your spelling-lead=led?): 'we are lead to believe that (29) heirs consistently have no record or knowledge of these predecessors'.I am quite sure that they knew who their ancestors were , but not the extent of their estates.
Maybe you have missed the point here, the original mineral rights owners also owned all sorts of other properties, shares, cars, policies, mineral rights etc..Their executors wound up their estates to the best of their ability at the time. These rights were purchased nearly 80 years ago and unless the executors knew the exact locality of the relevant farm they would not be able to trace the rights. This point has been made over and over see my postings as well as INFOMANS.

Did you watch the same movie 'Sting' that I did?You know the one were the little guys take on the big greedy guys and the little guys leave with the money?

P.S. My wife , children and I would like to thank party responsible for my short holiday.
