Paul

I have seen you refer to "double precision capability" in talking about the Katmai device. Could you please explain what this means?

TIA---andy

You are all HYPE, can't wait for that earnings pre announcement, you will discover just how true your statement was regarding loading the fabs with the WRONG products... There is a GLUT of Pentium and Clone Microprocessors... In fact, there is even a grey market for them in the Far East out of Hong Kong... They can't keep the lid on this for much longer, my guess is that they will pre announce any time now, most likely before the end of May...

Paul, Dell continues to grow over 35% in Asia, while others lost money trying to sell AMD. Is this telling me those people out there love the leading edge technology as well.
-The PowerEdge network server and Precision
workstation product lines in particular--increased 177 percent over the same quarter. The more CPQ, IBM busying with the alternative, Dell will certainly speed ahead.
I have question regarding the Katmai instruction sets.
If a lot of PC hardware such as Cable modem, ADSL, DSL modem, capture devices move some of the hardware chip functions to the host inorder to save cost, will they optimize it with the Katmai instruction? If they do, does this mean the same hardware will perform poorly on others?
