Patrick,

There is no mistake in Karl's posts about corrections in TAVA:

<<It has made 3 steep runs since last July. >>

<<TAVA has made two distinct "runs">>

Both statements are correct - Karl speaks of big runs and of smaller steps of which the big runs are composed and by which they were completed. Every small step has its small giveback and every big run has its big corrections as well. It is very difficult to recognize the starts and ends of the runs and the composure of the big runs in advance, before they are completed. It is an old and ever present TA problem of fractals. If anybody solves it theoretically once and forever - this guy will own the world, but the stock market will probably die.

So, Karl's analisys is correct. IMO.

Viktor.

Patrick: See Viktor's post at 17242. He's right on. What we see depends on the time frame of the chart we're looking at. I'll add that the buying I'm doing now is for my income account, not my long term account, and not my trading account. I intend to sell covered calls against the new purchases with an objective of making 30% annually on two trades. I think there is a high likelihood of making more than that, but that remains to be seen. I'll add that I'm in no particular hurry to be the first person to sell a covered call on Tava. I just think this is a good point to establish a position with the above objective. And if I had a different objective, such as a trading objective, I'd be looking at a different chart.
