Companies spent a total of 130 Billion on Computers in 1997.
I don't think they spent more than a tiny tiny fraction of
that amount on consumer electronics from Sony, Phillips etc.

Consumers buy consumer stuff from Sony and the like...
Sony doesn't sell too many things to help businesses
compete, become more efficient or profitable. I have
a house full of Sony products but where I
work, I can't think of one significant thing that isn't
computer related that you can get at Best Buy.
