<<It's back to the old days for me!>>

Valueman: I recently bought a "people-powered", reel-type push lawn mower. Works like a charm! Maybe you're headed back to a glass-domed ticker tape with the Galaxy IV loss! ; )

(I appreciate your posts and voice of reason during this recent "crisis" (for lack of a better word, although "fiasco" also comes to mind), as always.)

Valueman, would you comment on this loss from a 'frequency of occurrence' or 'mean time to failure' or whatever the right phrase is? How often do these pups go on the blink, specifically for the malfunction that has hit the Hughes bird? Is this mishap insured and or insurable? Is the Galaxy IV a brand new bird sporting the latest and greatest doo-hickies or is it a tired old dog that didn't wanna hunt no more? Lovely week for the space business, wouldn't you say? Thanks in advance, Mike Doyle
