I'm with you, again, Candle Stick, at 36 3/4.

You forgot to mention that while all the satellite stocks were doing well for the past few weeks, they may all be hurt by continuing bad publicity over the apparent failure of PanAmSat's Galaxy 4 satellite.

Hey Candlestick......this has become a long/bull thread since you left. Better watch out cause CDRD is stronger than you think! With Lucent doing the Chip, wouldn't you say that gives CDRD a great deal more of credibility? Wait until Sony and Avis get involved!

I thought you were gone for good and shorting AMAZON. Looks like you called that one wrong! But I guess the year is not up yet.

At a recent price of 79, I believe AMZN to be an excellent short, and that it has no business being in anyone's portfolio. I fully expect the stock to fall to 20 dollars by yearend.

Candlestick, I am still not sure on the rational of people who short. You shorted at 21 and made 8 points, covering at 13. That is 38% on your money, and it would be counted as a very successful short.

I got interested at 16, but watched it go down and then fortunately went long at about 12. It is now 37 or so so I have over 200% on my money.

It seems to me that you have to make a lot of successful shorts (and most are only for 3 or 4 points, not 8), to equal one good long position. I know that everyone has his own style, but I was just wondering.

Your analysis seems to be based on assumptions for an operating entity (revenue, cash flow, etc) but this is a development stage company. Its stock isn't going to follow the expected models.

(Or, put another way, I would be afraid to short it, but then I haven't bought it either.)
