I agree that the litigation is not the end of our economy or microsoft.
Also....lets hope the DoJ keeps to the single issue and does not expand
its' reach.....Microsoft has been an important driving force behind
our SI conversations--the internet and more importantly the productivity
gains of the last 20 years in general.

But I believe good regulation is extremely important and government
agencies that regulate should not be jetsoned....but made accountable
and sound.

I've never understood why AT&T was broken up just to allow the phone
system to get squirreled away in some new tree trunk. But I quess they
figure 3 or 4 is better then 1.

I have a feeling the general trend towards "hudgeness" on a world wide
scale will continue....soon there will only be small companies under
1,000 employees and those with 500,000. Economic blocks with 30,000 million
and those with 300 billion.

I hope your fly casting was successful..?
