What number did you get through to them on? Could you place an order?

Thanks for the posts.

The corrupted password problem was completely fixed at approximately 4.30 pm today. It effected a relatively small but obviously noticeable set of customers.

A corrupted password database was uploaded to the production system last night. This morning, we did a roll-back to a backup copy, but that had some corruption problems too.

Thinking we could identify the problem and fix it quickly, we opted to not upload a much older password database.

I would like to blame it on the Galaxy 4 satellite, but it had nothing to do with that. :)

Unfortunately it took too long to figure out the problem, rebuild a non-corrupted secure password database, and upload that to the production system.

It was a really weird accident and we should have been able to fix it sooner.

In response to this technical problem, we have come up with an *extremely* stringent set of tests that we can apply BEFORE we modify the production system. We have also come up with a much more reliable roll-back system to recover in case this ever happens again.

Sorry. We let you down. We are doing our best to make sure it won't happen again.
