DTN satelite system is down. this leaves about 15,000 brokers nationwide without quote service (including some big names). won't be up until 11am or later. no one knows when. could have some affect as several sold this a.m. at the outset - since real time is what they use to day trade.

Actually, many individual traders also use DTN. So many are without "power", so to speak, except on a delayed basis or through the desk. Don't know how many traders this affects nationwide. It will be down until sometime this afternoon. those short dell probably cut their wires. naah, they wouldn't stoop that low.
