Chip,

I'm looking forward to reading that book as well. I agree with the essential elements of the article from the WSJ that you mentioned. However prudence dictates that one always question ones own assumptions and keeps an eye on what could go wrong. You mention several that we should keep an eye on. However we may be fortunate enough to have a ring side seat for a extraordinary era.

BTW I have read the Big Kahuna thread on occasion. Some of the analysis is interesting. The problem I have is that some of them seem to get a real thrill out of the idea of a global financial calamity. Reminds me of some of the folks on the religious threads who really want the earth to be destroyed in order to prove that they are right. ;)
