INTEL CORP's networking products group got its start in 1991 with an
auto-configuring, 10-megabit network card. Networked computing has come a
long way since then, and last week, the company said it is spinning its network
products into a separate business unit, in hopes of raising the division's profile
among potential customers. Despite its dominance of the chip market, Intel is a
small networking player compared to CISCO SYSTEMS INC and 3COM
CORP. "The enterprise business is done," said John Armstrong, an analyst at
Dataquest. "The war is over and Cisco has won." But Intel is a "sleeping giant"
ready to awaken. "Intel is focusing on the medium-sized to small market, and
that's a new market, so there's some good opportunities for them," Armstrong
added.(TechWeb)

Is this good news that Intel resells MRVC stuff or bad news of a major player in MRVC's lower end arena??
