Dear Pro:

The high is a bit deceiving for two reasons.

1. PNLK merged with another company
2. There was a (reverse?) stock split that isn't being accounted for in either of Schwab's or Yahoo's numbers.

I've been searching for the specific links in this thread to refer you to and also to double check my information. I'm sure this question has been answered several times. However, with nearly 5400 posts and counting, finding specifics on this thread can be a bit disconcerning.

I will continue my search.... but if I can get some help I'd appreciate the effort. Now that I think about it, I think one of GZ's posts addressed this question directly and succinctly.

So, I'm off to Glenn's "hyperlink" to see if I answered and remembered correctly.

Hope this "message" has helped.

Sincerely,

ztect

The Pro:

Here is some info from PNL's (ProNetLink's) 15c2-11, Information Statement dated 4-30-98.......

Which explains the merger as follow:

(3) The State of Incorporation:

"The Company was organized under the laws of the State of Delaware in July, 1997. The company merged into Prevention Productions, Ltd., a public company in September, 1997....."incorporated in the State of Nevada on March 1, 1995....."

Also, regarding mergers instead of IPO's check this link out for some general news on these trends in technology industries

washingtonpost.com

If this doesn't link you, go to news.com
and connect to the story "Mergers Outpace IPO's"

I may repost this article later if no one acknowledges seeing it.

Hope the above info helps explain part of my prior post.
