<< The Gigamux has always been 32 channels. >>

No it hasn't. I sincerely hope Osicom isn't trying to use the fact that their Gigamux can operate full-duplex to claim that it is now a 32 channel device. Are you trying to tell me that they have simply redesignated the same device as 32 channel capable? I don't think so, that would be really sleazy.

I believe Ciena's Multiwave 1600 DWDM can operate full-duplex and they don't claim it is a 32-channel DWDM!

<<This is the crux of the debate about Osicom. On one side, the
clear presence of excellent products>>

Why in the hell do you think it is "clear" that Osicom produces "excellent" products? Excellent according to whom?

I'm no technical genius, but it seems that products that don't sell very well aren't that "excellent". The hype on this board doesn't change that simple fact.

Then again, facts never got in the way of the hypesters on this board.
