Systems Inc. Appoints DR. Michael P. Lohman As Chief
Technology Officer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1998--ACI Micro Systems Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of American General Ventures (http://www.amgv.com), a publicly traded company (OTCBB:AMGV - news) has appointed Michael P. Lohman, Ph.D. as chief technology officer.

Lohman graduated from the University of Colorado -- Boulder in 1974. After graduation, he took a research position with Motorola Corporation (NYSE:MOT - news) and during his tenure he was granted and assigned seven patents in the area of piezo-electric deviin the area of piezo-electric devices.

Lohman received his MSEE from Northwestern University in 1975. He joined McDonnell-Douglas Corporation where he developed advanced aircraft, missile and communication computer systems. Lohman joined Control Data Corporation to develop spaceborne processors for NASA and the commercial sector. In 1986, Dr. Lohman received his Doctorate in Computer Science/EE from UCLA.

Prior to being appointed to Chief Technology Officer, Lohman was vice president of System Engineering for ROLM Mil-Spec Computers.

Lohman has been instrumental in establishing ACI Micro Systems relationship with IBM (NYSE:IBM - news). Dr. Lohman has tested IBM's latest version of 6x86 266MX chip for compatibility with ACI Micro Systems notebook and desktop computers.

Lohman's involvement with IBM was instrumental in ACI Micro Systems being listed on IBM's Microelectronics product page on its World Wide Web Site (www.IBM.com). IBM's Web page provides a direct link to ACI Micro System's major computer retailer and ACI Micro System also offers the desktop computer featuring the 6x86MX at its own Web Site (www.amgv.com).

The 6x86MX PR233 computer system is priced at $698 without monitor.
