Altair Announces New Update on the Camden Pre-Feasibility Study CODY, Wyo., June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Altair International Inc. (Nasdaq: ALTIF - news) today announced that all analytical work is complete and Australian-based TZ Minerals International (TZMI) is finalizing the independent pre-feasibility study on the Camden, Tennessee heavy mineral sands property. Although the study will be finished by next week, Altair expects to release the results of the study during the week of July 6th, after the holiday weekend. ''We are pleased with the analytical results (grades, recoveries, etc.) and anxious to see TZMI's economic analysis of the Camden property,'' said Dr. William Long, president of Altair. ''We are also strongly encouraged by recent forecasts of even more favorable market conditions for titanium minerals.'' According to a recent report from the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics, titanium minerals prices are expected to increase through June 1999 as strong demand continues while supply is limited. Titanium minerals include rutile, ilmenite and leucoxene and are used widely in paint, paper, plastics and sunscreen. Rutile, which can be made into a hard though lightweight titanium metal, is used in the aerospace and golf industries. Altair International is in the development stage of commercializing its state-of-the-art technology, the Centrifugal Jig, which recovers extremely fine, heavy particulate matter using a combination of a mechanical jig and centrifugal force. Potential applications include gold/mineral recovery, coal cleaning and environmental remediation. Altair is the 100% owner of a large titanium/zircon mineral deposit in Tennessee.
