Figure this out, MBOC was so hyped on Optima. I called them almost every day for the week of pre and final merger. " Optima was wonderful, great company, what a marriage, the union would instantly make a blah blah stock and it would push the merged Co. to 50...with all of their producing wells and resources, mixed with ours, the future looks so bright there are no shades out there with enough UV protection, etc. All this out of the mouth of MBOC.

The evening before the merger all was great, the guy says " can't say anything, we're just here working out final details." In conferencde call all was well. By 4:00 Optima is no good and MBOC bailed-- according to all of our excellent outsider non-knowledge. Does that make sense to anyone? It still seems weird Optima was SO great, and then SO not great, all in less than 15 hours. Weird. My question, was Optima really that not so good? I wasn't there and don't know the details, for sure, but I don't know how the MBOC guys could be that deluded. Surely they do have brains. So since then it has been all Optima's fault to the shareholders here. Do we really know?

Anyway, American is way past that and a very sound private company. They are right there to check out.

Even Ed likes American. That's a plus, right?
