The eroding market share... 3DFX, 3DLabs, Nvidia are also here with better product. The graphics chip business has no real leader at the moment. MCRE is probably playing the cards right by not support only one "loose" standard. Look at the gamers... they support one chip and the minute the market moves, they're left out in the cold... I've seen this happening for years. A minimum of 3 key suppliers would be a smart safer bet.

VRML is not a compression technique. It is a way to "describe" how the "worlds" are played. At BTW, it's dead. The VRML conference was a complete bore and a major flop. Clueless is the best word to describe the VRML only players. Look at how they're looking for alternative revenue. VRML also doesn't stream. Cosmo is in the cosmos far from reality.

3D 3D 3D... don't forget about digital imaging... kinda growing side of the market...

Of course, this is all IMO...
