The Panasonic DVD-ROM drive, with an Enhanced IDE interface, can read single- and dual-layer disks. The MPEG-2 decoder card supports digital video at up to 720 by 480 dots at 30fps, or 720 by 576 dots at 25fps for NTSC or PAL video systems. It can display subtitles for up to eight languages and supports simultaneous display on a VGA monitor and a TV. The kit is priced at $200 each FOB for sample orders.
