Over on Yahoo, the Zack's research posted there indicates that whereas a month ago there were 6 Stong Buys, 1 Moderate Buy & 1 Hold (Total 8), currently there are 7 Strong Buy, 1 Moderate Buy and 1 Strong Sell! (Total 9). Sells are rare enough, but I don't think I've ever seen a Strong Sell on even the trashiest stock I've investigated. Also interesting, only 8 brokers provided earnings estimates, with '98 estimates ranging from $1.25 to 1.30, and '99 from $1.70 - 1.90 (pretty uniform, and actually up slightly from estimates of a month ago). So, what appears to have happened is that the Zacks research service has somehow found a new broker carrying a Strong Sell rec. without any estimate of current or future earnings. Hmmm.....seems like someone's got a little vendetta going on. Maybe a company official cracked wise to a vindictive analyst (a comment about their mustache, perhaps?). Any other explanations for this odd research data?
