CBC Nfld. Regional News - Friday, May 22, 1998 AM NEWS:

Major General Resources is looking for a partner to develop a gold mine in the Springdale area.

The Vancouver based company has been exploring in the Green Bay area for about seven years.

Company president Glenn Shevchenko says the Hammerdown gold deposit has the potential to become a mine.

But it will cost about two million dollars to do the final feasibility studies.

He hopes to have a partner in place by the end of this year.
