This'll do......

Well, I missed being the 10,000th account. I think Mr. Grimes is being cautiously optimistic. Try this math out for size:
".....Deposits at Net.B@nk sweeled by $15-$20 million a month at a time when most banks struggle to keep them...."

If they have $160mm on deposite already, by the above figures I come up with $90mm to $120mm more by years end. Add that to current $160 gives me $250mm conservativly. Maybe I'm putting too much expectation on them, but since this egg is just hatching I am expecting a lot of growth fast. Maybe by mid '99 it'll slow a bit.

Further, and higher yet assumptions go like this: If they have 10,000 accounts at present with $160mm on deposite, 20,000 accounts(which Mr. Grimes expects),would simply and mathmetically put us up closer to $320mm. Na, is my math right?

>Consumers are drawn to checking accounts that pay up to 4% and require a minimum balance of $100, and by high-yielding certificate of
deposits and money markets.<

Unfortunately, for the 3.93% interest-earning checking account, there's an annoying $4.50 mandatory monthly fee. That makes roughly a $1,350 balance break-even.

You can also get a 3.00% interest rate with no service fee if your checking balance is above $10,000.
