lscc has been hammered hard already and i believe most of the downside is gone there. xlnx has the most downside of the three at this time and thats why im shorting it. i believe altr can and will go lower, but xlnx has further to fall. did you see altr is going to convert thier bonds into about 9m shares which will further dilute the eps.

as for xlnx killing altr i cannot believe that is a widespread truism. i have sold both for about 8 years. they both have lots of loyal customers and altr has grown to the point where they are as big or bigger than xlnx. it is possible that xlnx does well in the market that "chip" works in.

ps as for not betting against altr and xlnx, it wasn't that long ago they got hammered to the twenties from the fifties.
