Wasn't just a beeper prob, friend: more than « the futures brokerages N USA have lost their quote services. Oh, and they are going to be down for a week, not just a few hours. No work arounds when one pays $900+ a mo for "live quotes" and other toys.

Then there were TV stations that lost their connection to the powerball lottery transmission of winning numbers tonight...
and public radio took it in the transmitter, also..

And who sez it isn't y2k related? Maybe they were conducting a test?
Maybe it was a cyberhacker?
Maybe it was the "big meteor"...
....all I know is they that "know" ain't talking...

P.S. Probably will have to wait for Nick G's next issue to get dah scoop<g>
