Here is a quote from "The Globe" an Isreali business newspaper.

"AOL is will exploit the acquisition of Mirabilis to reach large number of people outside the US. The number of people who use Mirabilis software, together with its own subscribers, is likely to turn AOL into the world's leading Portal."

Missing the BIG picture? My point was that adding $1 billion market cap on the deal was blowing up the picture. (And AOL only gives u
thumbnails)

The day before AOL's announcement Sony announced deal with same
EK subsidiary. Except it's better. In addition to RECEIVING
digital thumbnails (yup, that's all ya get from AOL) of film
you've brought in for developing, Sony allows UPLOADING of
images from digital cameras, which then can be used and modified
in any resolution as well as sent for print developing.

So what's "exclusive" about AOL's deal??

Since I work at Kodak, I would like to take a straw poll of how many people on this thread would really use the new "You've Got Pictures!" service. It will probably cost around $5-7 per order to have your pictures scanned and made available.

Is this reasonable? And do you feel that having your film scanned is worth it to be able to easily e-mail a picture you want to send to a friend?

Thanks in advance for your honest feedback.
