Ocote:

I'm wondering what the punctuation for stochs
means...(5,3,3)...is that (fast,slow,signal)???
Also, out of your list of possible shorts on
Sunday (16 May), how did you determine that
ELNK was a strong possible winner...?

(in two sentences or less) <GGGG>

TIA

Matt G.

PS...dow sell signal is now on hold?

Buenas noches senhor Ocote!

Meister or NON-Meister, compared to me you're very experienced since CLYS was my first short (i shorted accidently something before when i hit the sell button twice and covered for 1/8 loss - great start!) and up to here it wasn't very successful. Can't compare to SEVL and other paper shorts(BORL e.g.)i've done. Shorted also CVAN and that didn't work either also in CLYS AND CVAN my weekly Moneyflow is down which is often a sign of a decline. But the volume in these stocks has been really low and i've decided not to buy any small caps with low volume any more -either short or long. I don't know anything about your "cool" RSI13 model of the market but i can only say that despite the hefty >100 points up in the DJ30 there were more stocks down than up on the NYSE and the NAZ was weak anyway. The NAZ sits on the 50SMA and has developed a nice downtrendline which has to be taken out to convince of a new trend. MACD(13,34,89) and weekly CCI show no sign of bottom in the NAZ. Do you think that the DJ30 can keep the market up? Who will be the leader? DELL disappointed in whisper numbers (that's what i heard) and some people started shorting DELL on Mark Schulz' thread.Intel is down and it's chart looks broken. So what will push the market higher? I must say that i don't have a clear idea where the market is going but since i was working mainly on shorting (the first time in my very short market life) i have that downward bias still and i'm 85% cash right now! I just wish i would've been more successful in the beginning of the year but i paid a bundle on tuition cost and hope to recover that sometimes. The market was great so that i'm still up in the portfolio despite all these horrendous mistakes i made (like doubling up on declining stocks etc).
Thanks for all the great posts....really enjoy your posts even if i don't understand the 56er terminology. Still something here and there to be picked up (like the inverted head and shoulder pattern on RSI3).

Hasta la proxima!

Stefan

OCOTE!

Gotta go to my "real work" now but wanted to shot out the question "what is the RSI13 model?". Mind explaining a few aspects of it? You seem to base your decision on it and that made me curious. I kinda like trendlines and moving averages and add MACD and stochrsi and moneyflow. That's my basic system which i flavor with all different stuff which i actually don't really understand(haha!).
