<<OT>> Commodity Prices

One of the grrls here just returned from Texas, where she had been working for a few days. She met a woman there who told her this story:

While looking for some spare car keys, the woman found a cigar box in her husband's closet. In the cigar box were two five dollar bills, four one dollar bills, and three soybeans.

That evening she asked her husband, who is in the oil business, about the cigar box.

"Well," he said, "The truth is that my business lunches and dinners at the Mens' Club sometimes get a little wild, and whenever I've done something with one of those women that I wouldn't want you to see, I put a soybean aside to remind myself to try harder to control myself."

"I see," said his wife. "But what about the Fourteen dollars?"

"Well," he responded, "When Soybeans went to $7 a bushel, I sold."
