john, last oct - dec 97 was the best time for me to make money in tech. i sold most of my gain when the market exceeded 9000. i believe ASIA still there and it will be a big reason for tech sell off. Fortunately for me that the correction returns and most of my selling stocks (INTC, AMAT, COMS, CPQ, PAIR, etc.) have fallen back to my bought level. I am not afraid of the correction though I never lucky got any at the bottom, but finally making profit. I believe as long as I dont overpay for a stock, as long as the stock fundamental still intact, I buy it and patiently wait for a turn around. I will buy back INTC, AMAT, CPQ when the time is right. good luck.
