Relevant Knowledge reports that unique visitors to Amazon.com dropped from 4.859 mil to 4.178 mil from March to
April, respectively. In terms of rankings, AMZN dropped from 16th to 23rd. They had
been climbing in the rankings.

Perhaps it's just seasonality, but I think most expected that with Web usage continuing
to grow and "e-tailing" gaining wider acceptance, that this would offset seasonality for
some time to come.

MARY MEEKER (MORGAN STANLEY) LOWERS EARNINGS ESTIMATES FOR AMZN:

RESEARCH ALERT - Amazon.com, Intuit restarted

NEW YORK, May 22 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley Dean Witter said its analyst Mary
Meeker resumed coverage of Amazon.com (AMZN - news) and Intuit Inc. (INTU -
news), both with outperform ratings.

-- Meeker lowered her 1998 earnings estimate for Amazon.com to a loss of $2.10 per
share from a loss of $1.09, and cut her 1999 estimate to a loss of $0.97 from a profit of
$0.10.
