You were right about earnings today, they're out now and they look very good to me from a revenue growth standpoint, but they did lose money.

Sharper Image Corporation Reports First Quarter Results With Higher Sales
Internet Sales More Than Double Last Year
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 1998--Sharper Image Corp. (NASDAQ/NMS:SHRP - news) today reported operating results and higher sales for its first fiscal quarter ended April 30, 1998.

Quarterly highlights include the doubling of its Internet and online sales, a 24% jump in catalog sales, and a 1.6 percentage point increase in gross margin rate.

For the recently completed first quarter, the total revenues of $39.8 million were ten percent higher than the prior year's $36.3 million. Total store sales were three percent higher at $26.5 million from $25.6 million in the prior year, with comparable stores sales of $24.8 million which were even with last year. Catalog sales jumped 24% to $12.7 million from last year's $10.2 million.

The net loss for the quarter was flat to last year at $2.2 million, or 26 cents per share.
