RFLOL...hey Beavis....I've never in my life used MS Word, and never had any program in the MS Office Suite on any computer I've ever owned (have owned computers since 1987). OTOH, I've always purchased and used apps by competitors to MSFT. Do you still think I'm a leach?

Really I don't care what you think. I'm happy.

Outrageous Comments about Microsoft as Leach on Industry and Society

RE"Kind of like drug dealers. That is what Microsoft is. They are leaches on the industry. The software is a drug that the idiot consumers think is great..."

Unacceptibly Rude and Insulting Comments on this Board:
Beavis, in the interests of even-handedness, I must say that these inflamitory statements of yours are quite deplorable and not up to the standards of this board. By your comments comparing Microsoft's business practices to the feeding habits of leaches, you are giving leaches a bad name. Leaches are one of Gods creatures. As such, they do what comes naturally to them. If you could debate a cognizant leach about its feeding habits, it would respond in all honesty that what it does seems to it to be as right as rain. In the future, I suggest you judge others, not so much by what they do, but by how well they live up to the the light given them. Thank you.

LEACHES!!! I don't think so. Leaches are those that take without providing anything in return. Hardly what MSFT does. The true leaches of society are those that loot the successful in order to provide for the unproductive.

Whether you think the software is good or bad is irrelevant. The marketplace thinks it provides a fair result for the price. In the event you don't like it, you are free to go elsewhere, or develop your own.

And don't tell me there isn't any choice. There are thousands of programmers in this world. And with the availability of the Internet, any better mousetrap has a great chance of succeeding. If you tear down MSFT, you take away the incentive for the next guy to spend the effort and time.

I think we can see Mr.B's real bent. He thinks The software is a drug that the idiot consumers think is great. So the consumers are idiots in your mind. Maybe this is why Microsoft does so well while all of you scream about how bad they are

Consider : I imagine you are developing software you think is great, you release it and the IDIOT consumers say it's pretty good but we would buy it if you add the following features. Your response is "HELL NO YOU IDIOTS" and your software doesn't sell.

Microsoft releases software and the consumers say if you add these features then we will buy product. Microsoft's response is "The consumers use the product and they know what they like and want" lets add that to the next version.

Now you get ticked off because Microsoft is selling their version 2 while yours is sitting on the shelf. You are so mad that the "IDIOT" consumers are buying the Microsoft product that you fail to notice why all you do is scream that those added features are bloatware, not noticing that those features are the exact reason the product is selling.
