ED S., since you must be new here there is another thread which is much shorter in length and has a great deal of informaTION...

I have exerted a portion of the newsletter where JChin, addresses the issue of Indonesian "unrest" and now the Suharto resignation.

A note about the current unrest in Indonesia: We at Digitcom hope for a
rapid stabilization of the civic situation in that country. The images
of conflict and tragedy that come with civil disorder affect us all on a
personal level. However, Digitcom should not suffer ill effects as a
result of the Indonesian people's political adjustment to the
rationalization of their economy. Digitcom's recent agreement to
purchase an Indonesian telephone company with assured revenues from PT
Telekom vests our interests in basic infrastructure, with a secure
income from a source that must be counted as among the most stable in
the nation. Reforms in the political life of Indonesia that many
observers predict can only improve the business climate, and instill
greater confidence in the Indonesian currency. While the next several
days may look uncertain, the coming months should prove that Indonesia
is a country on its way back. Digitcom will benefit from the
re-building of the economy, having arrived after the worst of its crises
had taken its toll.

As you can see the foresight and planning of our Leader was well ahead of the curve again... Our deals are not affected..and since you are new you probably had no way of knowing how many times this had been discussed and rather than read the Info thread you just asked well aLOT HAS GONE INTO PUTTING THSES THREADS TOGETHER AND i SUGGEST THE LEAST A NEWCOMER CAN DO IS rEAD THE ENTIRE info THREAD SINCE IT IS ONLY 150+ POSTS COMPARED TO THE 14k+ BETWEEN THE OTHER THREE.

AT ANY RAte Welcome and good hunting/ reading up on DGIV.

Most of us are not concerned by DGIV's involvement in Indonesia.
1. We are a global company. Indonesia is only a percentage of future revenues.
2. There will be communications in Indonesia regardless of who is in power.
3. The unrest in Indonesia is temporary.
