Par probably found the secret :

If you are a private owned company CEO, if that company keep on losing money, you will be broken sooner or later, but if you are the CEO of a public company, the outcome would be totally different, you do not need to declare bankruptcy, and you can keep on selling shares to maintain a pretty good quality of life and you still own the same kind of percentage of the company, you have someone fight for your reputation for no charge (??), and even you make a confusing statement, no one (??) blame you but they try to find their own interpretation.

My previous boss told me, selling a product is a business, selling a company is also a business and it is even a bigger business. So even though, he could not sell any product, he is much wealthier than I do.
