For more info on that pesticide-on-airliners thing, which might have made some of you think I also wrap my head in tin foil, I refer you to:

flyana.com

or try webcrawler with the phrase airline AND pesticide, which came up with a lot of hits.

A couple of the Asian countries are paranoid about Americans and other foreigners being dirty.
They think our vegetables are filled with pesticides, our meat is filled with hormones, we don't
wash products like chicken properly...

Reminds me of the time about a year ago or so when people were complaining that the button on the seat belt of their cars was deteriorating. As it turns out, the manufacturer of this part was from Japan. Their response to the complaints was that it was not a manufacturing defect but was caused by Americans not washing their hands and getting junk in the mechanism. As it turns out, the actual problem had to do with the effects of UV from sunlight beating down upon the plastic all the time. Eventually, the plastic would start to crack. They have since ordered a recall of the cars to fix the problem. My car has this problem, although it is only on the surface and it is too much of a hassle for me to be without my car for any period of time.
