LAwrence, Richard: one last one before I'm off to the salt mine: look at 14-day and 5,3,3 stochastics. Bottom trendline there is definitley up, intermediate. I concur that CCI and other indicators this lull coming, however, it may not be unusual at all for these indicators (especially stochastics) to saturate if this thing really takes off!!!
