Larry, Quantum's Michael Brown was on CNBC a few minutes ago. Said
he expects the business to turn in the second half. No surprises.

Yes. I remember the $40 valuation of DLT.
But maybe we shouldn't invest in everything we know.

Re: VR

LK you forget nothing. <g>

Indeed I was using IBM's doohicky for a while, then I switched to Dragon's thingamajig. Dragon's was better, but VR is still not quite there for ordinary computing tasks.

I noticed that the GM of IBM's speech rec dev't is Ozzie Osborne. <GGG>

I hear L&H's VR rig is out -- I'll have to check it out. Meanwhile, I very much look forward to the next evolutionary generation of VR software. This generation is soooooo close to being totally usable . . . in fact specfic niche applications of VR may already be hatching commercial success -- GMGC Portico.

Don't "give up" on HDD stocks. The time we've spent here studying this intriguing business was highly worthwhile. Invaluable lessons about ... supply capacity ... industry cycles ... component elasticities ... complementary product relationships ... technology ... market forecasting ... equity valuation ... competitive advantage ... international economics ... and long-haired pet grooming were all here for the taking. Plus look at the weirdos that you've come to know and love. <GG>

Heck, you might even make money on HDDs someday. <g>

God bless,
