Can you smell the fear? As the coming e-payment revolution changes the face business; some of the big players are becoming frightened. They are rolling out anything that they have available to try to lay claim to a segment of this market. Unfortunately, they don't have an appreciation for the complexity of building out a nationwide transaction processing system and related infrastructure.

Benny,

I think all power is in Atlanta, and Ohio will essentially be customer service and product development/management, and client relations only, which of course will all be criticaly important. I think the new guy was hired so the EVP/Vice Chair who, as aresult of some departures was spending a lot of time there can get back to Atlanta, and to have at least one senior exec in Columbus. Hopefully the employee growth projected for Columbus will be reduced somewhat by the use of e-pay to deliver pmts electronically, which GREATLY reduces the error rate and increases profitability.
