Product evaluation for pre-hospital emergency market

Pyng Technologies Corp PYT

Thu 21 May 98 News Release

Mr. Michael Jacobs reports

Subsidiary Pyng Medical Corp. has broken new ground with the F.A.S.T 1
system for adult intraosseous infusion by entering into an agreement for
product evaluation in the pre-hospital ambulance market.

Pyng Medical Corp. and Bates County Emergency Medical Ambulance Service in
Missouri have agreed to evaluate the F.A.S.T 1 system, under the most open
protocol that has been used so far with the F.A.S.T. 1. The first responders
will be able to use the system whenever an attempt to establish IV is difficult
or delayed. This occurs frequently on patients suffering from shock and trauma,
as well as in cardiac arrest patients.

The protocol in place at Bates County is much more open than protocols
currently being used in F.A.S.T. 1 trials in emergency rooms. The
pre-hospital market is where most attempts to establish IV fail and is the ideal
location for the F.A.S.T 1 system to be used. Over 600,000 people die on the way
to hospital in the U.S each year due to failed resuscitation or heart attacks.

Pyng has completed training at Bates County, protocols have been approved,
and product has been delivered for use. This first ambulance service use will
enable Pyng to expand the marketing efforts to all ambulance service sites as
successful use is reported at the Bates County site.

Pyng is working with several other ambulance companies including one very major
group. Personnel are preparing to travel to New York, Washington, Baltimore
and Phoenix to solidify these agreements, and others, as well as train staff
at the respective sites in June.
