Hi Ray, since Habibie is a close political ally of Suharto who has been his protege for more than 20 years, this might be an interim solution as the country moves towards democracy. The reaction from the people of Indonesia over the next few days will likely be a good indicator of how long this guy will last, and from what I have read the situation is being closely monitored by governments around the world. Nevertheless, one step at a time I guess, and Suharto stepping down is a very big one!
